A Day at Mimi and Papa's

On Saturday, Joey and I had a barbeque to go to in Pelham, NH, so we dropped Connor off at Mimi and Papa's so they could babysit. They had a blast playing with him and feeding him lunch. We were told he was a very good boy and that anytime we wanted to drop him off, he was welcome. I think they're a touch smitten with their grandson!

Louie Louie!

Our friend Jenn just got a little puppy named Louie, and she was kind enough to let Connor and I visit. He was SO adorable! Connor even noticed the "doggie" and wanted to pet him. I didn't let him touch him because he's still learning what "gentle" means (just ask Bailey!). However, Louie did manage to give Connor a few kisses on his noggin. Thanks to Jenn for taking the pics!

Playground Fun!

On Friday, Connor and I went to the park with our friends Stephanie, Kareana, John and Eva Sylvain. Stephanie was smart and remembered her camera (unlike me), so we have some fun shots of the day. Connor had his first experience on playground swings and he just loved it. He laughed the entire time I was pushing him. He also loved the rubber-coated wires; he hung on so tightly! Steph's oldest, Kareana, was so fun to watch with Connor...she was like a little mom. She's so gentle! At one point, Steph and I looked over and John was leaning on the stroller just watching Connor. He was too adorable! We had such a fun time. It was good to see Steph and the kids, too!

Connor tried to use John as a stepladder!
Steph loves this pic of John... I have to agree. He looks so funny!

Connor was holding on to this himself. I was only his "spotter"! He even tried to do a pull up or two. He's quite strong!
Enjoying some lunch.

A Day at the Aquarium

Along with our friends, Meg, Dave and Mairead, the Estee's headed off to the New England Aquarium in Boston. We thought it'd be a nice trip for the kids since they seem to love animals and water. At first Connor seemed more interested in the water in the penguin exhibit than the actual penguins, but when we started up the ramp around the giant aquarium, he was very interested in the fish. He especially loved it when the giant fish would swim right by his face. He also loved watching the giant turtle! When we got to the top of the aquarium and could look down, all he and Mairead wanted to do was go IN the "pool". For more pictures of our fun day, check out Mairead's site at http://www.maireadelizabeth.blogspot.com/.

The first "fish" Connor saw was this shark!

First Haircut!

Today Mimi, Papa and Paige came down to visit Connor. Mimi brought her scissors to give Connor his first haircut, since Daddy thought it looked like he had a mullet. Connor was very good and played with his toys while Mimi cut his hair. Thanks, Mimi!

Little Boys

Connor was playing with his toys and watching Moose and Zee and I noticed how he looked so much like a little boy! No more looking like a little baby! He's so mobile now-crawling and pulling himself up on EVERYTHING! He even gave himself a bloody nose last night after hitting his face on the one part of the coffee table that wasn't padded. He was a brave boy and a little cuddle time with mom and a Miss Spider book made everything all better. I guess this is the start of bumps and bruises that comes with learning to walk!

My Maine Vacation

Connor has arrived back from his week-long vacation in Maine. The weather did not cooperate with us, and we barely had any sunshine, but that didn't stop us from hanging out on the beach and enjoying the family. Connor loved the water, and would have splashed away all day if we let him. We were able to take some walks, see a starfish and a crab, and take a trip to York. He also cut another tooth, and learned to truly pull himself up from a sitting position. His crawling improved as well! He had an eventful week-even learning to drive with Grampy. We can't wait until next year!

Connor loved to watch the cars from the large window!

Grampy's lap is lots of fun!

Watch out, everyone!
When am I ever going to get to the water?
Grammy is fun!
Grampy ...can I listen to your iPod!?

My First Experience with Beach Sand

Despite the clouds on the first day of his Maine vacation, Connor was able to spend the morning at the beach. He LOVED the sand! We're very happy, since he'll be spending the week on the beach! His cousin Lauren also joined him for a little fun in the .... well, ok, no sun... but you get the idea. Stay tuned for many more pictures, since Mommy brought her laptop to Maine with her, she can download the pics any ol' time she wants!
