Swings n' Things

This past Saturday, Connor and I took a trip to the park to enjoy the sunshine and warm(er) weather. Connor loves to walk around the park and explore, even though most everything is a little too big for him. They do, however, have baby swings, so over to them we went (after first stopping to slide). Connor loved the swing! In fact, he loved it so much that it started to lull him to sleep (just like his infant swing used to do - I still miss that). He actually looks like a little boy on a swingset! How much he's grown from August when we were here last!

In these next pictures, Connor was done wearing pants one day last week, so he tried to take them off, but his shoes prevented that from happening. So, he decided to walk around the house with his pants at his ankles. It was the cutest thing!

Weekend in Vermont

This past weekend, Connor, Mom & Bailey spent the weekend in Vermont. We hadn't been up since Christmas, so we were due for a visit. Connor was a little apprehensive when he first got there - he definitely knew it wasn't his house, and it took him a little while to adjust. But once he did, boy did he have fun! At Grammy and Grampy's house, you can go from room to room and make a big circle! It's even more fun when you hear footsteps behind you, following you wherever you go! AND, Grammy & Grampy's house has STAIRS! Perfect for practicing your climbing skills. Grammy and Grampy also have a big orange dog who is very funny, and perfect for helping you stand up.

Connor was able to see some of his extended family, too. We went to the church fish fry on Friday night, and he saw some cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends. He was quite a hit with people who have only ever seen pictures! We took a nice walk with our friend, Sarah, on Saturday, which Connor loved (even though it was a little chilly). Uncle Nate got to babysit on Saturday night while Mommy, Grammy and Grampy went to see cousin Justin in Fiddler on the Roof. He did a very good job. On Sunday, Becky and Aunt Colleen came up to see us, too. Needless to say he was very busy all weekend - he's quite the little social butterfly!

Grammy broke out the bubbles - Connor LOVED them! Don't mind the unbuttoned pants - he does have quite the Buddha belly!

Watching bubbles.

This big orange dog is nice and soft.

I love Mom.

Connor definitely had his appetite back from a week of being sick!

Connor does this funny little fish face - Dad managed to catch a small glimpse of it. Too cute!

Out and Down

Last weekend, when it was fairly nice out, I took Connor outside for a little walk. We walked all the way to the cul-de-sac and back (a whopping one house away). Connor was immediately drawn to the puddles and dirt (of course). He kept squatting down to splash in the puddle or to grab a handful of dirt. I'm sure this is a trend that won't go away soon... he is all boy, after all! I'm glad we were able to get out, as Connor hadn't been feeling that well. We actually brought him to the ER the night these were taken, since he started vomiting everything he was taking in. After generously sharing his illness with Joey and I, we are starting to get back to normal around here. Connor is still a bit under the weather - he just can't seem to shake this bug, and I believe he's cutting another molar, so he just feels all sorts of icky. I hope he's back to his active self, soon, even though it's been nice getting lots of extra cuddles everyday!

Rocks are a lot of fun!

I love this picture, even though his head is cut off - he walks and sticks out his buddha belly!

Oooh...snow!

More dirt and rocks.

He's just about ready to run, this one!

Guilty look.... could he have been splashing in the puddle??
