Is There Such a Thing as Downward Facing Baby?

I put Connor down for a nap this afternoon, and after a bit went in to check on him. I found him like this! I knew he was flexible, but to me this just does NOT look comfortable! I did move him after I was done gawking at him. And yes, the Batman figure in the picture is ALL Joey's idea. Not mine. :)

Beach Babes....Literally!

Connor experienced his very first trip to the beach last Thursday. He loved it! We were lucky enough to be on an inlet, so there were no crashing waves, and he could sit and play with the water and seaweed. The water temperature was beautiful, and he didn't want to get out. After leaning over him for so long(as his balance is still not perfect), my back was telling us it was time to get out, much to his displeasure. I didn't put him down in the sand since I didn't have my actual camera with us and I wanted to save that reaction for everyone in Maine. He did get his hands in the sand and was raking it with his fingers, as well as trying to eat it. Thanks to Tara for taking us to her beach in Westport! The video (for some reason or another) is VERY scratchy, but you don't need volume. So turn down your volume and you'll see Connor enjoying his day of sun and fun!

Connor lends a helping hand

Since Connor's daycare is on vacation this week, our friend Jess has generously offered to babysit! Her little girl, Layla, is 5 months younger than Connor. Jess sent me this picture of the two of them playing together. Connor looks like he's showing her how to use a toy! How cute! Jess said they were rolling around and playing together. The other are pictures from the rest of the week. Darn babies... always doing something adorable!
"Here, let me show you."
Checking Layla's diaper!
"Let's put our heads together and see what we
can come up with."
"Hey, pretty lady..."

Pool Day

Since it was disgustingly hot and humid this past weekend, we went to Mimi & Papa's pool on Sunday. Paige, Auntie Heather and Uncle Mark came over and joined us, and we were able to swim for a while before the rain started. After we went inside and got dressed, it was time for a nap. Auntie Heather was sure to get pictures of Connor and Mom, since Mom is usually the one behind the camera! Thanks, Auntie Heather!

Always New Foods to Try!

After an afternoon in his little pool, Connor had a snack of Zesty Tomato cheese puffs (the baby version of Jax). He LOVES these snacks! They do have a little kick to them, so I was surprised that he loved them so much. He just can't seem to get enough! He gobbles them down like they're candy. Like father, like son!

Miss Spider, Anyone?

For those that don't know, Connor's FAVORITE TV show is Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. We noticed him watching it with his head resting on the side of his activity center (see below). It looks uncomfortable to me, but he'll do anything for Miss Spider!

The Hickok Method

The "Hickok Method" of Babysitting.
Mairead takes over babysitting duties. She is, after all, almost one year old!

For Joey's birthday, Meg and Dave agreed to babysit Connor. When we came home, Connor was fast asleep in the pack and play. You can see why...JUST KIDDING. We thought it was hysterical, so pictures had to be taken!

Happy Fourth of July!

Falling asleep during the Fireworks!

I love being on Grammy's lap!
Having a bit of pineapple.

What are those loud banging noises in the sky?

Hi Aunt Becky!

I love being at Grammy and Grampy's!

Connor turned 9 months old on the fourth, and he ceremoniously cut his first tooth! He was a little cranky, but after some Orajel and Tylenol, he was off to dreamland and was fine after that! We had a great trip to Vermont to see his many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was especially excited to see Grammy and Grampy, and of course, Sophie! The weather was perfect, and Connor experienced his first fireworks, which he slept through. He enjoyed the parade and loved seeing his Grampy as the Grand Marshall, and his Uncle Nathan walking with the Fire Department. He misses them all and can't wait to see them in Maine!

Welcome!

My very own pool!

Almost crawling!

I LOVE SWIMMING!

Just Born!

Since Connor has so many relatives in Vermont that want to keep up with his life, we took a cue from Meg and Mairead and started a blog! Since Connor has been around for a whopping 9 months, I thought I'd just put a few pictures so you can see how much he's grown!
