Ketchup Face

This evening during dinner, I was watching Connor "dip dip" his finger in the ketchup and put it on his nose.  He'd then try to look at his nose, but he'd make all these funny faces instead.  I managed to get some on video just for everyone in blogger world.

WWI Park

After Connor's speech appointment this morning, Mommy got inspired to pack up and go to the WWI Memorial Park she's heard about in N. Attleboro.  We heard there were animals there, and the information she found online said you could bring Carrots and apples, so that's just what we did!

The park is pretty big, and we started off with the animals.  Connor loved watching one of the birds bathe himself and shake the water off.  It was pretty funny.  Next we saw the Emu's, a donkey, sheep, llamas, a pig, a peacock, and lots of goats.  We fed them carrots and Connor was almost inspired to eat a carrot himself.   Almost.

Next we stopped at the toddler play area.  Connor is a pro at slides now, so he was all about making the rounds on the different slides.  There was one slide we did NOT go on, however.  It was in a different area of the park and it was a HUGE tunnel slide that went down this big hill.  The kids that were going on it were so piled at the top that a mom finally had to take charge to organize them all.  It did look fun, but Connor hasn't quite worked up to that one yet.  Maybe someday.

At the top of the hill (above the big tunnel slide) was a playground that Connor loved.  He made the rounds on the swings, slides, and bouncy cars.  He took a break to have a snack, and to my surprise picked one of the apples we brought.  My surprise wasn't the apple part, he loves them, but the fact that he ate it like a big boy!  I didn't even know he knew how to eat an apple like that.  On the way home he continued to eat it and finished the entire thing!  I guess I don't need to bother cutting up apple slices anymore!

Choo Choo'in It

A few posts back I mentioned how Auntie Heather gave Connor a boat trainload of Thomas trains.  Last night while I was making dinner I noticed Connor had created the longest train ever.  Conveniently the screen tent box was on the floor, which made for a perfect railway.  He loves these trains!  Thanks again, Auntie Heather!

They'll Give a License to Anyone These Days...

You may want to stay off of the roads if you're around Stoughton.  Apparently they'll give anyone a license!

Estee v. Estee

The annual Estee Easter Egg Hunt took place on Sunday.  Heather and Joey v. Paige and Connor.  Connor really had no idea what we were doing, so Mimi helped him find a couple of eggs.  He thought you could eat them whole, so he put the entire dyed egg into his mouth...YUK!  He'd then throw the egg as hard as he could across the room.  He's got a good arm, at least!  Paige had a great time finding as many eggs as she could, though, so she made up for what Connor was throwing around the room.  Joey and Heather were very competitive, but came up very short.  Final score:  Kids 14:  Bigger Kids 9.

The rest of the day was very nice.  We were able to get outside and enjoy the gorgous weather.  We played on the swings and had some fun with bubbles.  Connor had a healthy meal of chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate.  Reason #1 why Mom doesn't give Connor a lot of candy:  he was up until 10:30 and BOUNCING!  It was a battle getting him to go to sleep, but he finally crashed.  Needless to say he hasn't had much of his candy since then!

Shhhhh!

Connor and I were in the grocery store this morning and he was  being very vocal about something, so I put my finger up to my mouth and went "shhhh".  Low and behold, he copied me!  I managed to get it on video, which is a feat in and of itself, because everytime he sees my phone or the camera, he wants to look at the screen to see himself.  Please ignore the unmade bed in the background.  :)
