Summer Fun

It didn't take long for us to get out and enjoy the summer weather. Jess invited us over to play in the bouncy house and kiddie pool on this VERY hot day. From my calculations, Connor spent about 4 hours in the pool. I'm surprised he didn't turn into a raisin. Connor had a LOT of fun when Brian chased the kids around and splashed them with water. We were a little sad when we heard thunder and had to pack everything up and move inside, but we quickly decided the bad weather wasn't coming and went back out.

Connor took all of 30 seconds to fall asleep on the way home. The kid plays hard. One of Jess's friends who was at the party asked if he was so energetic all the time.... I think it's safe to say "yes"!

Curtis Bash

Our friends Jess and Brian had a combined birthday party for all 3 of their little tikes this afternoon. There were a big pile of crayons in the corner and Connor immediately started coloring with Layla. Apparently Layla was very excited to see her friend "Contour" and had been talking about him lately, so it was nice to see them play together. Connor spent the entire afternoon bouncing and running, and even crashed a wedding....twice. Needless to say he crashed on the way home!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day Weekend, Grammy and Grampy drove down from Vermont to visit their favorite Grandson (ok, ONLY Grandson, but still...). They enjoyed some outdoor play time on Friday afternoon waiting for Mommy to get home from a field trip to Six Flags. Grampy was able to get some great shots of Connor on his swingset. They also bought him some new sandbox equipment - a bulldozer, dumptruck, and a construction hat. He'll be all set this summer!

On Saturday, Mommy, Grammy and Grampy went to see Jersey Boys in Providence, so Daddy had Connor all to himself. They went to see Mimi and Papa in Tewksbury where Connor got to swim in Mimi's pool. He LOVED it. So much so that he had a little meltdown when he had to get out (we're working on transitions...).

Sunday we did some light shopping, bought some flowers, and went to Target. Nothing too exciting, but we were able to make the house look more spring-like while Connor napped. After his nap we busted out the kiddie pool and he was able to swim to his hearts content. I think the water was a little cold for him at first, and he was a little apprehensive, but he quickly "warmed" up to it. :)

Connor was not happy to say goodbye to Grammy and Grampy and screamed a bit when they left. He'll see them soon enough, though - we'll be in Vermont for a wedding in just a few weeks!
