WWI Park

After Connor's speech appointment this morning, Mommy got inspired to pack up and go to the WWI Memorial Park she's heard about in N. Attleboro.  We heard there were animals there, and the information she found online said you could bring Carrots and apples, so that's just what we did!

The park is pretty big, and we started off with the animals.  Connor loved watching one of the birds bathe himself and shake the water off.  It was pretty funny.  Next we saw the Emu's, a donkey, sheep, llamas, a pig, a peacock, and lots of goats.  We fed them carrots and Connor was almost inspired to eat a carrot himself.   Almost.

Next we stopped at the toddler play area.  Connor is a pro at slides now, so he was all about making the rounds on the different slides.  There was one slide we did NOT go on, however.  It was in a different area of the park and it was a HUGE tunnel slide that went down this big hill.  The kids that were going on it were so piled at the top that a mom finally had to take charge to organize them all.  It did look fun, but Connor hasn't quite worked up to that one yet.  Maybe someday.

At the top of the hill (above the big tunnel slide) was a playground that Connor loved.  He made the rounds on the swings, slides, and bouncy cars.  He took a break to have a snack, and to my surprise picked one of the apples we brought.  My surprise wasn't the apple part, he loves them, but the fact that he ate it like a big boy!  I didn't even know he knew how to eat an apple like that.  On the way home he continued to eat it and finished the entire thing!  I guess I don't need to bother cutting up apple slices anymore!

So, you went to a park, huh? What's that like? Say hey to your mother for me...

What should we do on Friday??? What's your ideal timeframe?
