The Egg & I

This past Sunday, Paige came down with her Mom to watch a little Wrestling with Joey and a few friends.  I picked up an Easter Egg coloring kit the day before in preparation.  I thought it'd be fun to have the kids color some eggs!  Paige had the most fun, coloring most of the eggs herself.  Connor just wanted to drink the dye.  Gross.  He also liked to take the Keurig Coffee K-Cups and pretend to drink them. Strange, I know.  He had a great time hanging out with his big cousin!

Trains, Trains & No Automobiles

After hitting the park on Saturday, Daddy took Connor up to Tewksbury to spend a little quality time with Mimi, Papa, Aunie Heather and Paige.  Little did he know that Auntie Heather had the motherload of all trains toys for him.  We all know that Connor has a slight obsession fondness with Thomas the Train.  Well, Auntie found all of these trains, garages, bridges, etc, at a local second-hand shop.  She brought back all of these toys for Connor.  He was apparently in his glory (Mommy was home basking in the sun).  Daddy sent Mommy all of these pictures to show how happy Connor was.  He even came home that night with Edward in his hands and fell asleep with him, too.  He's been quite obsessed with them all week, and will connect almost every train he owns and drive it around the house.  Thank you, Auntie Heather!

March Madness

Since the deluge of last weekend, it has actually been gorgeous out the past few days, and today was no exception.  We made a point to get to the playground so Connor could get some much needed fresh air and run around time.  We went with our friends, Jess, Layla, Quincy and Brady.  The older kids had a grand ole time swinging, sliding, and at times, eating mulch.  Mmmm!  Quincy and Brady mostly hung out with Mom, but did get some swing time in before falling asleep.  After two solid hours of play, we headed home and Connor crashed the minute I drove out of the parking lot.  Good thing, too - Daddy took him to Tewksbury to see Mimi and Papa, so he needed a lot of energy for that.  Pictures to follow!

Grammy & Grampy Visit

Grammy and Grampy made the trek to Massachusetts this weekend for a visit with Connor.  Something tells me they missed their little guy!  Connor loved the aerobed that was set up in the office.  I think he thought it was a trampoline.  He had a lot of fun bouncing on it so Grammy decided to read him a book while he was on it.  He couldn't really settle down enough to read, but he did have fun crawling all around Grammy.

On Saturday we hit up Target, then had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.  Connor was VERY well behaved (phew!) but did not eat much of his macaroni and cheese.  He had a few of Grampy's fries and a bunch of raisins.  We then walked around the mall for a bit.  He was so good!  He fell asleep on the way home and took a very long nap.  He was not so sleepy when it came to bedtime, and didn't end up falling asleep until 10 or so.

Sunday was swimming lessons!  Grammy and Grampy came with us to watch and take some pictures.  The water was a little cold this morning.  Most of the kids were all shivering!  The instructor ended class about 5 minutes early because she could tell everyone was cold and cranky.  Despite the cold, Connor did VERY well today.  He jumped in without me holding onto him!  Usually he waits until I hold his hands, but today I was able to back up from the wall a bit and he jumped into my arms!  He had some great kicks, too!  We threw a ball to practice our reaching and pulling, and he had some great throws, too!  He seemed to really enjoy himself today (well, until we had to go under water), but other than that he had a fun time.

As Grammy and Grampy were leaving, Connor wanted to get in their car.  Well, anyone's car, actually.  He kept trying to open the door of any car he could find, and even made a mad dash to the neighbors car, too.  I'm not quite sure why he was doing this - I've never seen him do it before.  He started to get very grouchy when we wouldn't let him in the cars, so after we said goodbye to Grammy and Grampy, it was off to bed for Connor.

We had a very nice weekend and hope to see Grammy and Grampy in April during Mommy's vacation.
